daily painting day thirteen

I forgot to look what this photo is of and am too lazy to walk back down to the studio to look.

daily painting day twelve

The Pacific Ocean off the coast of Ecuador.

I wish the blue had shown through the white a little bit more than it did. Oh well!

daily painting day eleven

Yesterday's painting got away from me. I had run a few errands and got completely distracted reorganizing all my sheet music so I didn't make it into the studio to get something, anything finished.

I caught up today and went to Egypt for inspiration in You Are Here by Chris Hadfield.

daily painting day ten

Yay! 1/3 of the challenge is done today. I have been enjoying using a book as inspiration rather than having to come up with a still life each day.

Today is another section of desert in Africa. It seems I like the colours in the Africa section.

daily painting day two

Bahamas inspired today. Didn't turn out exactly as I wanted. Oh well. There's always tomorrow.

daily painting day one

I've been busy getting all my planning done for my piano studio as well. I kind of feel like that all I've been doing for weeks. I will be so happy to get back into the swing of teaching every day. I only had my Saturday students continue through the summer so it was definitely not a busy summer. I've got a few new students starting as well as all my familiar faces from the last school year.

September is also the start of another 30 days of daily painting over at Slices of Life with Leslie Saeta. The last few weeks I've actually been pretty good at getting into the studio everyday to paint but have been bad at getting anything posted here. Instagram is SOOOOOO much easier!

I decided this time around instead of scouring the internet for images to paint from, I would use Chris Hadfield's book You Are Here as inspiration for 30 days of abstract painting. I will post a picture from the book as well as the painting it inspired each day.

Here's day one...Africa
